MSc Studentship: Research on System Closure 2011-12

Scholarship for Hispanic The purpose of the closure system in any manufacturing process is to have an independent operation in which valuable resources are re-used and maximized, while the discharges and emissions are minimized. Concepts such as integrating many features that are attractive. From an economic perspective, the costs associated with raw material and waste flow decreases. From the environmental standpoint, the impact of manufacturing facilities around it decreases. However, from the point of view of operations and engineering, the closure means the complexity of the system significantly increases and the challenge-technology. Centre at UKZN is setting up research facilities in this topic.

Scholarship for Hispanic Research Areas:

• Studies progressive system closure on the chemical pulp mill, including to:
o Developing apparatus that will be used to study the closure system
O Study of the behavior of contaminant partitioning into fibers, and process water
equipment

Scholarship for Hispanic Qualifications and Requirements:

• Ideally have an interest or experience of some of the following areas: Simulation
programs, chemical, and water treatment.
• Ability to work independently and also as a team in a project-driven environment.

• problem solving skills and solutions-oriented.
• Be computer literate and have knowledge of statistical techniques to analyze the data.
• Strong communication and writing.

LEVE announces Master Scholarships for Hispanic


LEVE Scholarships for Hispanic focuses on the dynamics between livelihoods and environmental change, particularly the challenge of climate change, increased migration, urbanization, and changes in global governance, and its effect on patterns of poverty, health and disease.

University of Freiburg’s Research Fellowships Scholarship for Hispanic


The Scholarship for Hispanic theme of current research is the History Faculty of Comparative European History from 18 to the 20th century. Applications with a focus on other periods or different regions are also welcome. For the 2012/13 academic year applications are invited to

Application Details:
Scholarship for Hispanic Applicants must have a Ph.D. (Or equivalent) at the time of application, an international research profile, and substantial publication record. Research associates are expected to pursue their own research which should match the theme of current research. This scholarship will be awarded by an academic advisory board of the School of History Frias. Scholarship for Hispanic Successful applicants are offered salaries depending on their qualifications. During their time in school history they have full access to the resources Frias and the University of Freiburg, including research allowances, offices, libraries, subsidized meals and housing facilities, and services of research assistants.
