Call for Scholarship Applications 2011-12 for PhD Programs at IMT


Scholarship for Hispanic IMT tried to achieve fusion of theoretical understanding and practical relevance. The following is the core objective of the mission statement IMT: • establish ourselves as a research center that promotes cutting-edge research in key areas, the arrangement of the Ph.D. Program in close contact with research activities; • to attract the best students, researchers and academics through a competitive international selection; • to contribute to technological innovation, economic growth and social development.

Eligibility Details:

Scholarship for Hispanic Knowledge of English is mandatory. Courses and seminars are held in English. English is the official language of all academic and administrative activities. Ph.D. Foreign students will benefit from the Italian language and culture courses.

Talian Degree Holders: - "Laurea Magistrale" (or "Specialistica"), according to DM n ° 509, dated November 3, 1999 - Four or five year degree in accordance with earlier regulations Italian higher education system

Foreign degree holders: Foreign degrees are considered and their feasibility assessed by the Selection Committee. Minimum duration of university is the equivalent of four years full time. Graduating Applicants:Scholarship for Hispanic Applicants get their degree no later than December 24, 2009 may apply (Italian or foreign degrees in accordance with previous descriptions). MSc Studentship: Research on System Closure 2011-12

Scholarship for Hispanic The purpose of the closure system in any manufacturing process is to have an independent operation in which valuable resources are re-used and maximized, while the discharges and emissions are minimized. Concepts such as integrating many features that are attractive. From an economic perspective, the costs associated with raw material and waste flow decreases. From the environmental standpoint, the impact of manufacturing facilities around it decreases. However, from the point of view of operations and engineering, the closure means the complexity of the system significantly increases and the challenge-technology. Centre at UKZN is setting up research facilities in this topic.

Scholarship for Hispanic Research Areas:

• Studies progressive system closure on the chemical pulp mill, including to:
o Developing apparatus that will be used to study the closure system
O Study of the behavior of contaminant partitioning into fibers, and process water
equipment

Scholarship for Hispanic Qualifications and Requirements:

LEVE Scholarships for Hispanic focuses on the dynamics between livelihoods and environmental change, particularly the challenge of climate change, increased migration, urbanization, and changes in global governance, and its effect on patterns of poverty, health and disease.

Postdoctoral Position Scholarship for Hispanic in Social Science


The Scholarship for Hispanic role of this social science post doctoral researcher is to take part in a collaborative empirical investigation of the project in action and the issues at stake, such as changes in trust and the accountabilities in the electoral processes, the genealogy of democracy and technology and, the organizational changes related to digitization in municipalities. The Scholarship for Hispanic aim is to analyze and assess social, political and cultural consequences of the technology and to make qualified inputs to the design process and assessment of the technology.

Scholarship for Hispanic Specifically, the post doctoral researcher will be expected to do ethnographic fieldwork in one of the Danish Municipalities with special focus on the election processes, including the current ritual and organization of the election and the wider organizational, cultural and democratic context in which the electoral process is embedded.

Postdoctoral Scholarship for Hispanic candidates should have a Ph.D. in Social Science, an established research record, and experience with doing qualitative research in one or more of the following fields:

Science and technology studies (STS)
democracy and science
electronic voting systems (of primary importance)
democratic governance
IT-governance
genealogy of democracy and technology
political technologies
public understanding of science
trust in information

General information

The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) is a teaching and research-based tertiary institution concerned with information technology (IT) and the opportunities it offers. The IT University has more than 50 faculty members. Research and teaching in information technology span all academic activities which involve computers including computer science, information and media sciences, humanities and social sciences, business impact and the commercialisation of IT.
